Wednesday -WOD 54 - WOD for God


Starting this week, we will do a "WOD for God every Wedndsday.
This is a chance for us as a group to remember that all our goals, dreams, and triumphs are only possible through Christ.

After warm up we will turn off the music, read the scripture below, then reflect on the meaning during our WOD for God.

To kick things off, I wanted to reflect on one my favorite letters from Paul.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. "

I love this passage because I sometimes forget why we really train.
Do we really think that winning a competition makes us better than others?
By lifting more or running faster does that bring us closer to our real prize in heaven?
Or does our CrossFit journey help us to realize our own strengths which in turn make us better Christians by giving us the confidence to win "real" victories?

WOD for GOD:
In partner teams
5 min AMRAP
As many kettlebell swings as possible, after rowing 200 meters.
Partners must switch after 20 kb swings.

5 min AMRAP
As many ring rows as possible while partner hangs (knees waist high)
Must switch after every 20.

5 min AMRAP
As many squats possible while partner holds a plank (pushup plank or elbow)
Must switch after every 20.
