Wednesday - WOD 113 - The Humble athlete




Being a CrossFitter allows us to be more than we were before.

It makes us stronger, more confident, more energetic, and just MORE!

With this newly found self pride, I understand that it can also come with an overwhelming sense of confidence. Which, if left unchecked, can turn into a humility crushing poison.

We have all seen the Elitist approach to CrossFit from the shirts that say P90X is "man aerobics" or that Yoga "is for weaklings" or my favorite "My warm up is your workout!"

When did everyone decide that what they did was so much better than everyone else?

Although I know some of the CrossFit Elitists and Purists out there will cringe at this, I have seen some amazing results from many different areas of fitness.

In my mind, what makes CrossFit amazing,and yes, even better, is the community that we build... a community of Humble Athletes. A community that does not judge, but instead encourages.

Philippians 2:3
Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 

Warm up and Skill
15 minutes Mobility and Foam rolling clinic

WOD:
In a 15 minute window
Buy in:
5 rounds of the following
200 meter run
20 situps
15 pushups
10 Single Arm Snatches 50/35

Then
As many Air Squats as possible in the remaining time

The score is how many squats you completed before the 15 minute window runs out.

Stretching and shoulder mobility
