Wednesday - WOD 118 - Running from Grace

What is grace?
Aside from being a 10 year old CrossFit WOD (June 24th, 2004), it is also something that God gives to us.

Imagine that you were thrown out of an airplane, what would happen?
Yes, you would most certainly die!
However, what would happen if you were thrown out of an airplane but were given a parachute?
That parachute is in fact something "supernatural" because it gives you an ability that you would not naturally have.
That parachute represents a type of Grace.
God gives us grace to grant us salvation into heaven.
And just like the Parachute, it is something that we have to constantly be prepared for.
If you know that you are going to be in an Airplane that might crash, you would constantly make sure that your parachute was ready for action.
In the same way, in order to make sure you are ready for salvation, you need to remain in a good state of Grace.

Grace is waiting for you, don't run from it. Do good deeds, be good to others. Be humble. Be ready!
James 4:6
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
